Updates on the Lily-meister

In order to try and be more organized, I am putting all of my Lily-related stuff as well as anything about giveaways and whatnot. I love my TurtleTeeth Designs, but I think it will be morphing into something greater so I would like to keep Lily away from the morphing.

It has also been a while since I updated about my little girl <3 She's getting so big! She's already 10 weeks old and at the rate she's going she'll be crawling soon.

We've been cloth-diapering with disposables here and there. Charlie Banana brand has been good to us. I think the only time she leaked was my fault for forgetting a snap somewhere. I would like to get her more, but I'm on a tight budget. People gave us a whole lot of disposables and I didn't want them to go to waste. The Huggies were cool, but we had many poopy explosions out of the diaper. Now we're trying Luvs, and so far nothing has escaped, even overnight.

However... Her Grandmama and Grandpapa Lee have ordered her a set of Sunbaby cloth diapers. They'll be here eventually and I'll see how they go. I'm excited :)

Breastfeeding! Where to begin? I love it, I won't lie. At first I thought it was going to be weird pumping and seeing my milk in a bottle when other people feed her, but then I realized it was probably weirder for people to drink milk from another species. Then again, I don't like milk so I think milk-chuggers are weird :P :)

I'm going to stay strong and continue breastfeeding the full 6 months, but I am DYING to use the Baby Bullet. Even if I can use it just to use it I'd be good, but it's exciting!

As far as toys go, her Great-Aunt Melanie bought her a baby gym thingy. It's a cushy pad with these bars that meet together in the center and have toys hanging off of them. The center has a mobile and it plays music, plays music and lights up, or plays music and spins. It's so freakin' awesome :)

She is still sleeping in the bed with me. I really don't know what I'm going to do when she does eventually move to a crib. I think I'll be more affected by it than she will! But, in all honesty, it's just so much easier to be able to feed her in bed then fall back to sleep. Heck, she doesn't even open her eyes at night anymore -- she just hits me 'til I get up and feed her. I don't have to worry about squishing her because I sleep so lightly with her there I don't move. She's constantly gravitating toward me, so I'm the one that's got to watch falling off! We start her off in the center of the bed and I switch sides in the middle of the night depending on if I can feel my arm or not. She'll get so close that I start moving to make sure she has room to breathe... Then when I wake up I'm right on the edge!

Well, better get this blog finished up. Still have a lot I want to do to it.

  1. What a sweet girl you have. She is adorable! As far as nursing goes, I wondered if it would be weird for other people too and then after awhile I didn't care anymore haha! I nursed 1 year and 1 week and I'm so happy I did. Good luck to you!
