Calling All Bloggers! Diamond Candles Review Opportunity!

Have you wanted to review one of the awesome Diamond Candles? Here is your chance!

If you don't know what Diamond Candles are, they are aromatic soy candles with a ring inside. The value of the ring is anywhere from $10 to $5000! Talk about neat, right?

So Diamond Candles is allowing 100 Bloggers to review their product. All you have to do is go here, sign up, and see if you qualify. Sweet deal, huh?

But hurry! I'm sure spots are going fast.

This is free to bloggers and available to US only. Good luck!

The SunBaby Diapers Came!

The Lee Grandparents sent some awesome SunBaby Diapers! Definitely great for cloth diapering on a budget! I was soooo excited, but before jumping in had to make sure they were properly pre-washed before using them. Lily decided to model for me. She loves the camera, so it was easy.

We were sent 12 diapers, 3 of each kind. We got...

Cute little green ones with flowers and butterflies.

Blue with polka-dots, and my favorites...

HELLO KITTY!!

There were some white ones, too, but she hasn't worn them yet.

They work just as well as the Charlie Banana ones so far, and they're a heck of a lot more affordable! I know we're supposed to be trying to do Made in USA and whatnot, but the Chinese SunBaby diapers are too good to pass up I also know they have a whole bunch of other patterns that I may have to indulge in, later :)

Santa Baby: Lily Met Santa Today!

Lily's Great Aunt Melanie took us to see Santa today! The day started off great, with Lily having a full tummy and in a great mood. We left before school let out so we could beat the crowd. Lily fell asleep on the way to the mall, which was good because she wasn't cranky when we got out to wait in line.

We got her out of the car and into the sling so she'd be ready to wait.

We got into the mall, and right there was Santa! WITH NO LINE!!!! We went right up to Santa and got her picture taken. It turned out so great! I'm really excited to share it :D

Isn't it adorable?! :D Thanks Aunt Mel!

Lily's Big Day

Lily and I have pretty much been sitting around at home for the past week, and today we got to go into town for some health related stuff. So, Lily got to use her new hood for the first time!

So we went and she was the best little girl ever. No crying, no fussing. She smiled everywhere she went and people wanted to take her home. I felt like a kangaroo because she was in her sling and I covered her in a big hoodie I have, so her head was sticking out. She liked it, though :)

As soon as we got home, the fussing began. She was so tired, but wouldn't sleep, and if she did it was a 10-minute cat-nap. Took me forever to make her next hood... but at least I finished it tonight. It's not as good as the first in my opinion, but I think that's because I added something... EARS!!

Yeah, it's funny. Laugh at it, I did. I think I need to make a new template to get the desired effects, but for now it works. It's cute, so I don't mind.

The problem might have been the material -- it was really stretchy and I've never before worked with it. Oh well. Trial and Error.

Yeah, she's asleep in the picture. It took the CMT Country Christmas special to make her fall asleep. BUT it gave Mama enough time to finish that wreck of a hood!

Look At What I Made!!

Okay, I'm really excited about this and I know it isn't the best. I'm no master seamstress, so don't laugh. I made a hood for Lily today!!

AND IT FITS!!

I'm proud of myself. Hopefully with more practice I can make things with less flaws.

It's a hood. It's getting colder and her hats aren't fitting, so... I thought a few practice sewing attempts could be hoods :D
