Lily's Doctor Visit -- 7 Months Old

Lily had a glowing review today at the doctor!  Her ears are great, her size is great, her everything is great.  It's a relief because there were concerns about her ears and allergies, but she's healthy as a horse.  A really small horse.

She weighs 18lbs 5.5oz and is 7 months old today (Yeah, we're behind with doctor's appointments).  She was so good, too.  She did not like being restrained at all for measuring, but I think it is because she wanted to continue to look around everywhere.  She didn't cry at all, but she did do a little fussing here and there.  Overall, a successful visit.

We also ended up going to Target and purchasing some new socks for Lily and a trainer sippy cup so we can get her used to it.  I doubt there will be any trouble with it -- she currently gnaws on a bottle of water for teething and she tries to drink out of my cups when I'm drinking.  There is no rush at all, just something to get her in the mood for it.

She's been eating apples and rice cereal lately and we got her a squash to try today.  I hope she likes it!

After Target we went to Kroger, then to CVS, then back home.  After a looooong morning she and I both took a 3 1/2 hour nap.  It was nice!

Right now Lily is rolling around on the floor in the living room, avoiding the mat I set up for her to play on that has her toys on it.  Of COURSE she rolls on the floor, not the nice clean comforter I put out.

Lily is not crawling yet, but she will be soon.  She gets into a crawling position and bounces a lot.  It won't be long :)

First Day Of Spring

Spring is officially here!  After a mild winter we are already having 80 degree weather. Lily has not enjoyed coming inside at all today, but I understand why.  It's sooooo nice!  Though, she may be upset because I don't let her get away with eating the grass...  Oh well!

I hope everyone has a great Spring!  Stay-tuned for future posts :)

YesterYear All-Natural Handmade Soap Review

Now that I am back in town I finally got the chance to use my new Yester Year All-Natural Handmade soaps! I was itching to get back to try them, and was very pleased when I finally did.

When I opened my package I saw this beautifully wrapped gift-set of three different soaps.  Excited, I opened it like it was Christmas.  The soaps themselves are individually wrapped, so if you want to use them one-at-a-time like I do there are no worries about them getting sticky or used out-of-turn.

They come in many different fragrances, and the ones I received were African Black, Mango Papaya, and Orange Patchouli.

Awesome gift idea
With the soaps came a small informational sheet that described the product and its origins.  My camera did not do it justice, but I did my best.

I had a hard time choosing which soap to use first, but Orange Patchouli won.  The ingredients are as shown below:

Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Soybean Oil, Organic Shea Butter, Water
I love knowing that the products I use are all-natural, so it comes to no surprise that I jumped at the chance to try these soaps.  They are made with basic, all-natural ingredients.  My first thoughts, however, were that it didn't seem like enough to make soap.  Would it work?  Only one way to find out!

Natural is good

The fragrance of this soap was my favorite of the three, though all three had an awesome smell.  It also added a nice aroma to my bathroom.  It wasn't too strong, but just enough to give a light, pleasant scent.

After many uses I noticed my hands were softer and I did not have to worry about any smell irritating Lily or me after I washed my hands.   These are great for those with sensitive skin, so they are suitable for all types of skins.  No worries with these soaps!

If you are looking for a great, natural gift (like for Mother's Day coming up) or would like some handmade soaps of your own, order at YesterYear Soap and pick out a few today!  I have a list of my own forming :)

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Life of Lily (A Month in Pictures)

Lily had a fun visit to Alabama!  It was long, but she met a new friend and got to spend time with her daddy :)
Kelly and Lily to the rescue!

"Mama, you are baaaaad at bowling!"

"Let me show you how it's done!"

Ready for a walk outside.

Tired after a long day.

Kelly sharing Lily's toy.

"Crud!  You caught me!"

"
"WEEEEEEEE!"

"WHAT IS THAT MOM?!"

"It's okay, I'll eat it."

Suki tickling Lily.

"I don't wanna get in the caaaaar!"

Glad to be back!

I Have Returned (Seriously This Time)!

What was meant to be a week-long trip turned into a month-long stay.  With a lack of internet and me dropping my laptop a few times and killing it, updating has been difficult.  Now I'm back and my computer is... well... not in pristine condition, but in a semi-working order.  I have many items to review now that I'm back, so I'm going to hop to it!
